Hi, I’m Oscar Rivera Jr. Owner of San Benito Music.

I was raised here in Hollister & actually graduated from San Benito High in 1990.

I’ve always loved music & it has always been my passion. I remember seeing my brother playing the Guitar and it really inspired me, so I began playing. I eventually came across a broken Guitar, the owner was going to throw it away so I asked if I can have it. For some reason I knew I could fix it. I bought all the replacement parts, took it apart, repaired it & it was good as new. I was hooked!

I’ve loved music & playing the Guitar for many years so in 1998 I decided to attend Robert Venn School of Luthiery in Phoenix Arizona to become a Certified Luthier. Upon completion I also became a Fender Certified Technician and made two Acoustic Guitars and an Electric Guitar.
